Do you think the MP English Grammar Workbooks would be too much with my current line up? Would you use the workbooks with Rod and Staff English, or would it be just too much?

Even more on Rod and Staff English:

  • I’m a Christian, Now What? Journal – she was given this by our church when she was in her I’m a Christian Now class. It’s a journal of sorts and is detailed enough to savor, sit and spend a while. Fabulous resource.
  • Saxon Math 2nd Grade – continuing on in the Saxon way until 4th grade Teaching Textbooks (or maybe 3rd grade next year with Teaching Textbooks. We shall see).
  • Rod and Staff English 2 – She’s the fourth one to use this book! (her favorite subject)
  • Spelling Workout (B) – all kinds of practice besides just spelling. My review at Curriculum Choice.
  • A Reason for Handwriting B – she hasn’t colored border sheets yet – like her siblings have done in past years. I think she’ll like it.

This curriculum consists of a hardcover, non-consumable student textbook and a hardcover teacher’s manual. A set of worksheets and tests are also available for use with the curriculum, but they are not required. We usually only use the student book and the teacher's manual. You can view dozens of sample pages from the Rod and Staff English curriculum .

My friend Lauren sent me a question about Rod and Staff English. We do dearly love Rod and Staff English and have now officially used every year available – from 2nd grade to 10th! I asked Lauren if I might share our discussion here, in case others are considering Rod and Staff for their homeschools.
