Sage X Fly Rod - Coming August 2016 - New Fly Rods

“My goal for this rod was to apply the performance advantages of modern materials on a very sleek, slender shaft that would load down in the hand for a fishing tempo like glass, or bamboo while providing the crucial need for accuracy.” Notes Sage Chief Fly Rod Designer, Jerry Siem. “The CIRCA is a rod that, once it’s in your hands, enables you to improve as an angler by identifying where, why and how you can put a fly on the water. The CIRCA is definitely going to bring new life into the sport of trout fishing.”

The Sage ONE Fly Rod is both smooth and precise, with a forgiving sweet spot that complements widely diverse casting styles. Sage ONE custom cork handles are designed to match the exact taper of the rod, providing even greater sensitivity and feel. Sage's round eye tip-top never pinches the line, allowing the caster to mend and cast in any direction with full control. ONE Fly Rods come with a black powder-coated aluminum rod tube with a Sage medallion. Color: Black Ice. Made in USA.

Sage ACCEL Fly Rod Review - Red's Fly Shop

When the Sage ONE series arrived 5 years ago many anglers including myself were blown away by the feel, accuracy, and weight of the rods. Building on the technology originally developed in the Sage ONE, Sage is introducing the Sage X Series in August 2016. The Sage X Fly Rod will feature new KonneticHD technology that takes the Konnetic blanks used in the ONE rod to a new level. The bottom line is that the blank construction, developed in house by Sage engineers, results in lighter blanks with less filler, more feel, and better performance. After fishing the 5, 7, and 9 weight ONE rods for years, I can say they are on to something with Konnetic technology. I can’t wait to get my hands on a Sage X. The new rods will be available in 3-10 weights and will handle everything from trout to tarpon.
